Flooding Reported Throughout East Texas

4-8 inches of rain have fallen across the Deep East Texas area this morning which has lead to numerous reports of water over roadways.  Also, due to power outages, Wells ISD will be letting out at 12:30 today.  Buses will also run at that time. 

UPDATE - (3:15PM)- With the exception of a few Farm to Market roads in Trinity County, it appears that most State Highways and Farm to Market roads are passable.

Here's the latest list of what has been reported:

• FM 356 in Trinity County will be closed until water recedes. Barricades and signs are in place warning motorists of the closure.
• Water is over US 69 North at TV Station Road. Motorists should slow down
• In Nacogdoches County water is over the road at FM 2782 between US 69 and Highway 7 West,
• In Nacogdoches County water is over the road on FM 225 west of the Loop
• In Nacogdoches County water is over the road on Highway 21 east of the Loop
• Water over roadway at Highway 59 and Highway 84 intersection. Roads are passable but use caution.
• Various areas of water over the roadway on Highway 94 between Apple Springs and Groveton and Trinity.  Road is passable.
• Water reported over the roadway on Highway 287 between Groveton and Pennington.  Road is passable.
• FM 843, low water crossings have water over the roadway, expect delays.
• FM 357 in Trinity County, water over the roadway in various locations.
• FM 223 in Trinity County, water over the roadway in various locations.
• In the City of Nacogdoches, the following roads as of 11:15 AM are closed: Mound at King Street, S. Fredonia at MLK, North Sanders near Flora, S. Pecan at Virginia Ave, W. Main at Bremond, W. Main at W. Cox, Houston Street, Burk Street, Hughes & Mound intersection, W. Seale, Pearl at W. Main, Pearl at Powers, Meadowbrook and South Fredonia intersection, and 300 North Sanders.
• TxDOT crews are monitoring flooded roads in Angelina County on FM 706, FM 843, FM 2021 at Ransom Brown Road and US 69 North.
