Harlem Wizards Coming to Lufkin to Take On Area Faculty
The world-famous Harlem Wizards will bringing their basketball magic, hoops artistry, and rim-rattling dunks to the Lufkin Middle School Gym on Tuesday, January 22nd for an evening of great fun and fundraising. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and the game will start at 6:30 pm. The Wizards will play a game against a team made up of area educators including faculty from Lufkin and Hudson schools. Proceeds will benefit the Angelina Rotary Club.
The event will feature a variety of fun interactive extras including: Pregame “Wiz Kids” warm-up, contests, comedy, awesome slam dunks, audience participation, merchandise giveaways, and more. The game will conclude with the Wizards’ signature dance extravaganza!
This event will help the Angelina Rotary Club raise funds to continue their projects like a new library at the H.O.P.E. Center, provide uniforms at Back to School Bonanza, award high school & college scholarships and grants to local teachers, and to globally eradicate polio.
