Hudson 12 And Under All Stars Are Heading To The World Series

They used to be called the Hudson 12 and under all stars...but, now, they are Team Texas!!

Hudson is representing the Lone Star State at the upcoming Dixie League World Series in a couple of weekends in North Carolina.  Hudson won the district and state tournaments to earn the title of Texas champions.

But...it takes money to get to the world series. 

With that being said, there are a number of fund raising events coming up:

• Sat, July 30th beginning at 6am, there will be a 12 family garage sale at DMV Petroleum at 5138 Ted Trout Drive (Highway 94)
• Sat, July 30th beginning at noon, there will be a car wash held at Firestone on Timberland Drive in Lufkin
• Tuesday, August 2nd, Posado's on the South Loop in Lufkin will donate 10% of qualified receipts to the cause.  Just present the flyer at the door, you can get a flyer from any of the Hudson coaches or by calling 404-6442.
• Saturday, August 6th, 6a-4p, Hudson players will be carhops at the Sonic on Frank Street.

• August 6th & 7th, a coach-pitch tournament is trying to be organized at the Hudson ball fields, call Rick Pierce at 404-6442,  Rick McKinley at 635-0007, or Coach McClendon at 212-1117
