According to a Facebook post from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, we learn that Sarah Elizabeth Ramon, 28 years-old, of Joaquin Texas, turned herself in today, Tuesday, December 19, and was booked into the Shelby County Jail.

We must all remember that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty!

According to Shelby County Sheriff Kevin W. Windham, Ramon's arrest was made after a lengthy investigation conducted by Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Investigators.

Ramon was arrested on a number of charges including: Indecency with a Child, Sexual Assault of a Child, and Improper Relationship between Educator and Student.

Ramon is currently awaiting arraignment by a Shelby County Magistrate.

In an article by ktre.com, we read that:

Joaquin ISD Superintendent Ryan Fuller confirmed that Ramon taught for the district in the agriculture department prior to filing her resignation on Dec. 5. According to Fuller, the resignation was officially accepted by the school board during their meeting on Monday night.

Shelby County JP 1 Donna Hughes said she signed the arrest warrant for Ramon, which a district judge has sealed.

This is an ongoing extensive investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
