After locating the fire, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the kitchen area. This kept the fire from spreading further into the restaurant seating area.

They were able to get the fire under control just 30 minutes after their arrival. Lufkin Fire Department arrived to help with an engine and a Battalion Chief.

The Central VFD also arrived on the scene with a tanker to support the Hudson VFD. The fire could have spread much further, and the owners are thankful it did not.
