While The Focus Has Been On "In-N-Out" Vs. "Whataburger", a different West Coast Based Chain Is Quietly Infiltrating The Lone Star State.

Texans have always had an insatiable appetite for bold flavors and hearty portions but some are resistant to the invasion of outsiders especially those from the West Coast.

But as more Californians move here, they continue to bring their food - chains and all- with them and one brand is doing it on the low.

The legendary restaurant chain, Fatburger Has Big Plans For Texas.

Renowned for its mouthwatering burgers, the chain is expanding its reach into the heart of the Lone Star State, creating a buzz of excitement among food enthusiasts and the usual "Don't Move Here" from life long Texans.

With roots dating back to the 1950s in Southern California, Fatburger has built a devoted following for its delicious, made-to-order burgers. The menu offers a wide range of options, from classic beef patties to turkey and plant-based alternatives, ensuring that everyone can find a burger to savor.

Back in July of 2024, FAT Brands, the parent company of Fatburger and 16 other restaurant concepts, announced the opening of Fatburger in San Antonio at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

This marks the sixth Fatburger in Texas to date with an additional 40-plus locations set to open in the state over the next 10 years according to the company.

There's also plans to open a location in New Braunfels, TX according to MYSA.com. While In-N-Out made a lot of noise coming into Texas, Fatburger must have saw the backlash and decided to take a "quiet" approach.

Have you tried a "Fatburger" and if so, how does it compare to the rest?
