It was a tight race for night 3 of mutton bustin' at the Anglina Benefit Rodeo, but Jaycee Dykes of Huntington held on to take a one point win with a score of 89 points.

Dykes set the mark early in the competition with an extended ride on the sheep named Forrest Gump.  An 8 second time limit is not used so riders can get extra marks for staying on top the sheep for as long as they can.  Gump never broke out into a full out sprint but Jaycee latched onto the sheep and hung on for a good 10-15 seconds as Gump made his way to the center of the arena.

The most exciting ride of the night belonged to Julian Silva of Diboll.  His sheep came out of the chute gate in a hurry and Silva hung for an impressive ride good for 88 points.

The final night of the Angelina Benefit Rodeo and of the mutton bustin' is tonight at the George H Henderson Jr. Expo Center in Lufkin.
