Around 2:30 a.m., officers were called to Green Meadows Apartments (formerly known as Lotus Lane Apartments) for a report of a man who had been shot. Officers arrived at the complex to find that the man was already deceased as a result of a gun shot wound to the chest. Investigators said the shooting occurred following a disturbance inside apartment 13A.

The Lufkin Police Department would like to thank the U.S. Marshals Service for their assistance in Dunn’s apprehension as well as local authorities in Collin County. Dunn will be brought back to Angelina County in the coming days.
