The storms that were predicted for Memorial Day and beyond for East Texas are on their way. Severe thunderstorms have been impacting the Tyler/Longview area early this morning, and a line of strong to severe thunderstorms could push into the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area by mid-morning.

Flood Watch for East Texas

Heavy downpours over the next few days could bring flooding to portions of the Pineywoods. Two to five inches of rain, or more, over the next 48-72 hours is possible in our area.

The Excessive Rainfall Outlook for Monday places all of northeast Texas and most of Deep East Texas in the yellow-shaded (level 2 of 5) risk area for possible flooding.
