Lottery Winners in These Texas Cities Have Won Nearly $5 Million
During the first week of April, the Texas Lottery paid millions of dollars through several different games. A winning $200K ticket was sold in east Texas via the Texas Two-Step lotto game, and a whopping $4.5 million was collectively won via various scratch-off games.
A couple of those winners were from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro, one from Amarillo, and two others from the East Texas area. Here's a round-up of the stores where the tickets were bought, how much was won, and which games paid off.
Longview, Texas

- Prize: $200,000
- Game: Texas Two Step, a winning quick pick ticket matched all five numbers in the April 4th drawing
Palestine, Texas
Richardson, Texas
- Where: Tom Thumb Grocery Store
- Prize: $1 million
- Game: Millions Club - $50 ticket
McKinney, Texas
- Where: RaceTrac
- Prize: $250K
- Game: Mega Loteria - $10 ticket
Amarillo, Texas
- Where: United Supermarket
- Prize: $100K
- Game: Lucky 7s - $5 ticket
Powerball Jackpot Continues to Soar
It has been a while since somebody matched all six numbers of the Powerball jackpot. The top prize for the game is now up to $1.20 billion for the drawing on Saturday, April 6.
The estimated lump sum cash payout is $608.9 million. Remember to play within your means. The odds of winning the top jackpot for the Powerball game, or the Mega Millions game, is somewhere around 1 in 300,000,000.
