Nacogdoches County Area Go Texan Dance Set for Saturday at Banita
The annual Nacogdoches County Area Go-Texans Scholarship Dance is coming up this Saturday night at Banita Creek Hall, and once again, I'm honored that I have been invited back to present my Dance Hall Saturday Night (DHSN).
So, what is a DHSN?
It's basically a throw back to the way country dance halls used to be. I'll be playing plenty of vintage George Strait, Conway, Haggard, and Jones. I'll also be mixing in some of the great pop and rock n' roll from the past years. I'll definitely be going old school for a good portion of the night, but, I'll also pepper in some of the newer songs and line dances.
All in all, my goal is to keep the dance floor full and for everyone to have a great time, and everyone to be sore the next morning from all that dancing.
The Nacogdoches County Area Go-Texans help raise funds for scholarships. They have awarded numerous $500-$1,000 scholarships to local 4-H and FFA students through the years. Plus, due to their efforts as a Go-Texan county, they also help the Houston Livestock Show and Road award a $20,000 scholarship to one kid.
Cover of the event is $10 and doors will open at 8.
