
Deputies Bust Two in Nacogdoches for Felony Drug, Gun Offenses
Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department recently arrested two Nacogdoches residents who were charged with numerous drug and firearm offenses.
Luther Levann Jackson, 38, and Tynequa Shanice Blakey, 32, were taken into custody on Thursday, April 16.
Jackson faces three first-degree felony charges for the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony for the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and a state-jail felony for delivery of marijuana.
Blakey is charged with one second-degree felony for possession of a controlled substance and a state-jail felony for possession of marijuana. Both were booked into the county jail on Thursday.
Details of the Arrest
Jackson was stopped by deputies in the 100 block of S. University Drive around 11 a.m. Thursday for a traffic violation, at which point he was taken into custody for a warrant.
Based on information developed during an ongoing investigation that narcotics were present at a home in the 1700 block of Castleberry Street, where Jackson was believed to reside, deputies then served a search warrant at a home. Blakey was taken into custody at the residence.
Drugs Discovered During the Search
During the search of the home, deputies located approximately 5.9 ounces of cocaine, 14.9 ounces of methamphetamine, 8.7 ounces of ecstasy, 3.8 lbs. of marijuana, four firearms, including one reported stolen from Angelina County, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
This is an ongoing investigation, and additional charges are possible.
