Smith County K-9 Killed During Traffic Stop, Manhunt Underway

Tragic news this afternoon out of Smith County as KLTV is reporting that a Smith County K-9 has been shot and killed in the line of duty. 

According to the report, a traffic stop near FM 849 and I-20, near Hideaway, resulted in the shooting and death of Ogar, a Smith County Deputy Constable K-9.  Two suspects were taken into custody while one fled on foot.  A search by law officers is currently taking place.

No other officers are reported to be injured.
