The video of the Wednesday incident in which a Lufkin Police cruiser rear-ended a Lufkin Fire Truck was released today.  The driver at fault was also reprimanded by the Lufkin Police Department.

via Lufkin Police Dept Press Release The Lufkin Police Department is asking citizens to be on the lookout for a local man reported missing by his wife Thursday morning (8/13).  As of now, the department has no reason to believe that 50-year-old Franklin Strickland, who owns Strickland Custom Building and Remodeling, has been a victim of foul play.

The following is taken from an official release from the Lufkin Police Department: Police are investigating an apparent suicide in the Cracker Barrel parking lot that left a man dead Wednesday morning.

UPDATED - As of 12:10 p.m., Lufkin Police have confirmed that Burch has been taken into custody.

This morning, officials with the Lufkin Police Department released details concerning yesterday's discovery of a man found dead with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The man's name was also made public for the first time.
