    Doorbuster Deals

The best time to shop on Black Friday is usually early in the morning, when stores are having 'Doorbuster Deals' or 'Blowout Sales' because many must-have items are featured for a limited time only.

Between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Baskins in Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston and Crockett will be having 'Doorbuster Deals', featuring scarves, watches up to 50% off, Famous Maker Candles up to 75% off, wallets starting at $5.97, select jeans up to 85% off, boots, toys, ornaments and much, much more.

Some of the items as well as others will be available at a lower price throughout the day, but be sure to get there early so you can dig through the best selection of items on your shopping list.

Layaway Shopping Plans and Early Store Hours

In the current state of our dwindling economy, major retailers are targeting consumers who are cautious of using their credit cards and guiding them to purchase items using their layaway plans.

Layaway plans allow you to stretch payments 0ver a period of time. Although these types of items were limited in the past, stores like Best Buy and Walmart have recently been promoting popular toys and electronic items on their layaway lists in order to attract more customers.

More stores are starting to use the term 'Black Thursday', since their doors are opening at 10:00 p.m. or midnight on Thanksgiving instead of the traditional Friday morning hours. Walmart, Toys R' Us, Best Buy and Target are among some of the national retailers partaking in this modern tradition. More hours, means more shopping (and more crowds...).
