Tuesday’s High Temperature Will Be 35 Degrees Colder Than Today’s
East Texas enjoyed a beautiful weekend for the numerous holiday events that took place in Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Huntington, Diboll, and many other locations. Get ready, however, for a big weather change coming our way.
A strong cold front is expected to move into the Pineywoods overnight Monday pushing the temperatures into the 40's by daybreak on Tuesday. It will be a cold, rainy day on Tuesday with a 100% chance of showers while temperatures will hover around 45. North winds from 5-15 mph will make it feel colder. Up to an inch of rain could fall in the area, but no severe weather, nor wintry weather is expected from this system. Temperatures are expected to drop near freezing Tuesday night, however, the chance of precipitation should be gone by that time.
