🚿This Will Lead to Water Outage for Some Residents

🚿Water Outage Expected to Last Around Six Hours


Officials with the City of Lufkin are advising residents that a water valve replacement over the weekend will necessitate a shutdown of water for quite a few customers just west of downtown Lufkin. That outage is expected to take place this Sunday, August 6 from 10 am to 4 pm.

The City of Lufkin has issued a map that shows the boundaries of where the outage is expected to occur.

Roughly, the area is bounded by Raguet Street to the west, Abney Street to the north, Ellis Avenue to the south, and the train tracks to the east. This will include the following streets within that border:

  • Herndon Street
  • West Frank Avenue
  • Moore Avenue
  • Mantooth Avenue
  • West Grove Avenue
  • Persimmon Avenue
  • Oak Avenue
  • North Douglas Street
  • North Bonner Street

Officials with the City of Lufkin apologize for any inconveniences incurred by this event.
