Brandon Belt Breaks Thumb after Being Hit by Pitch

Hudson's Brandon Belt who is out to a great year for the San Francisco Giants will be sidelined for a while after being hit by a pitch in Friday night's game against the Dodgers. 

Belt, who leads the team with homers (9), broke his left thumb after being hit by the first pitch in his first at bat Friday night.  Belt stayed in the game to run the bases but was replaced in the line up in between innings. No official timeline as to how long Belt will be on the disabled list has been given.
