Hudson’s Brandon Belt Blasts One Out of the Ballpark

Brandon Belt, who played his high school ball at Hudson, has been one of the hottest hitters in the Majors over the past 5 weeks.  He batted .349 in August and is batting .625 so far in September. 

Last night, Belt had 3 hits including a 2-run blast that left the ballpark and splashed into the bay.  Unfortunately, his heroics went for naught as the Giants lost in extra innings, however San Francisco still leads their division by 4 1/2 games over Los Angeles.
