The next drawing (April 10) for the Lotto Texas jackpot will be worth an estimated annuitized $63.75 million. That's the game's largest jackpot prize in more than 12 years. The estimated cash value is worth a whopping $39.5 million. There has not been a Lotto Texas jackpot winner since mid-September of last year.

The last time the game had a jackpot winner of more than $40 million was for the September 30, 2020, drawing, when an estimated $47 million prize was claimed by a Seguin resident who purchased the winning ticket at Pic N Pac 10 in Seguin.

Even though each of the 54 numbered balls theoretically has the exact same chance of being drawn, some folks are drawn to patterns and strategies more so than odds. If you are one of those, you may want to consider the following trends of hot and cold Lotto Texas numbers.

The Hot and Cold for the Last 20 Drawings

Let's start with the hottest numbers that have been pulled since February 22. The number 10 is the hottest.  It has been pulled a total of six times. That is followed closely by 4, 7, 19, and 28. Those numbers have been pulled a total of five times in that same period.

Meanwhile, a total of nine numbers have not been selected at all over the last 20 drawings. Those are 2, 5, 14, 22, 25, 37, 38, 50, and 53.

So, are these numbers due or do you stick with the numbers that have been on a recent hot streak?

What About A Bigger Sample?

Let's take a look at the hot and cold numbers for the past 50 drawings. Leading the hottest of the hot is the number 4. It has been chosen 13 times since mid-December. Next up are 19 (drawn 11 times), 34 (10 times), and 7 (9 times). Nearly 10 numbers have been selected 8 times during this period.

The coldest of the cold numbers are 14 and 32, each only being selected once in the past 50 draws. They are followed by 2, 25, and 54 (2 each) and 5, 12, 24, 37, 40, and 53 (3 each).

The Breakdown

So, if you playing the hot streak, 4-7-19-34 should be four out of your six choices. If you're opting for those numbers that seem to be due, then 2-14-25-32-54 should be five of the six considered.

Keep in mind, the odds of hitting the jackpot is 1 in 25.8 million, no matter which numbers you choose.

This will be the 88th Lotto Texas drawing on this current run. The game’s most recent jackpot winner was a Katy resident that claimed a jackpot prize of $19 million for the drawing held on Sept. 17, 2022.

If there is no jackpot winner for tonight’s Lotto Texas drawing, the jackpot prize for Wednesday’s drawing will roll to an estimated annuitized $65 million.

Play responsibly, it only takes one ticket to win.
