Lufkin Police Respond to Lunchtime Bank Robbery, Suspect At Large

The Lufkin Police Department responded to a bank robbery in the 11 a.m. hour and they are asking residents to provide any details which could lead to the apprehension of the suspect. 

According to the police report, the West Loop Bancorp South (500 S. John Redditt Drive) was robbed by a male with dark hair and dark eyes, around 5'10, wearing a plaid jacket and blue jeans. Bank employees reported the incident at 11:19 a.m., stating that the man came into the bank and gave a teller a note demanding money. The man did not display a gun during the incident, but his note stated that he had one. He then left the bank on bank foot - unknown direction of travel.
