Nacogdoches PD Apprehend Amber Alert Suspect, Children Found Safe
Around 10:30, Monday morning, December 7th, the Nacogdoches Police Department received information from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department that a wanted person was believed to be travelling through the City of Nacogdoches. According to a post in the Nacogdoches Police Department's Facebook Page, Harris County officials provided NPD officers with a suspect and suspect vehicle description. The vehicle and occupants were being sought in connection with a Homicide and Amber Alert from Harris County Texas.

NPD Field Training Officer Brad Waguespack and Recruit Officer Falynn Monk located the suspect vehicle stopped at a local business. The driver of the vehicle, Romanus Anthony Robertson III, was contacted and found to be wanted for Murder. He was taken into custody without incident. The adult female passenger was identified as Jasmine Khalil Johnson A.K.A. Jasmine Khalil Whitmore. She was found to have two outstanding warrants out of Harris County for Aggravated Assault. She was arrested as well.
The two children who had been subject of the Amber Alert were located in the vehicle. They were unharmed and in good health. Texas Child Protective Services are working on reuniting them with family.
Harris County Investigators and Detectives with the Nacogdoches Police Department are continuing to coordinate resources. Both persons arrested in connection to this stop were taken before a Nacogdoches County magistrate and waived extradition. Both Johnson and Robertson were released to the Harris County Deputies for transport back to Harris County.
