Sleeping Mother, Children Narrowly Missed By Bullets Shot at Home
A Lufkin woman and her children narrowly avoided bullets while sleeping at their home Wednesday night.
According to a report from the Lufkin Police Department, the woman reported hearing five to six shots and then discovering bullet holes in an exterior wall at 512 Jones Street. The bullets went through two bedroom walls and lodged into another bedroom wall where the woman's children were sleeping no more than 10 feet away.
No one was injured in the incident which remains under investigation.
