A woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. At one point, the woman corrected Lufkin officers on the difference between a crack and meth pipe.

A man and woman were each charged with stealing a bicycle from the front porch of the Assistant Chief of the Lufkin Police Departmanet

Lufkin Police are investigating a series of overnight break-ins that occurred early Monday morning at several businesses on Gaslight Boulevard.

According to a Lufkin Police report,  Daniel Ramirez Huerta, 39, of Lufkin, was taken into custody around 10:15 Friday morning after he allegedly rammed his ex-girlfriend's car repeatedly while threatening her with a hammer.

On June 20th, 2017, the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office (NCSO) received a report of a sexual assault of a child. The child made an outcry to a family member who notified law enforcement of the assault.

Wednesday afternoon (6/28) around 7:00 pm, deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sherriff's Office (NCSO), Precinct 4 Constable Office and Department of Public Safety responded to an assault with a firearm call on Balch Lane near County Road 350, south of Martinsville.

It has been another interesting past 24 hours for the Lufkin Police Department.  From heading into oncoming traffic, to lying about your name, to cussing when you shouldn't, here are some of the more interesting blotter stories as reported from the LPD.

Two Lufkin men were arrested early Thursday morning after robbing the Denman Avenue Jack in the Box at gunpoint and leading officers on a pursuit in a stolen car.

According to a press release from the Lufkin Police Department, officers arrested a Lufkin man early Thursday morning who has been identified as the shooter in an incident that left another Lufkin man seriously wounded.

If you want to prove to someone that you did indeed pay for services, the best thing to do is to produce a receipt for that transaction.  A Lufkin woman allegedly wanted to show police that she did pay for a meal, however, what she produced was definitely not a receipt.
