Teams, Order of Performances Revealed for Forest Fest Dance Competition

The 33rd Annual Texas State Forest Festival presented by Brookshire Brothers is September 20th-24th at the George H. Henderson, Jr. Expo Center in Lufkin.  For the 13th year, we'll kick it off with the KICKS 105 Pom Squad/Dance Team Championships.  

Middle school and high school teams from across the area will compete in several genres of dance and precision.  Registration gets underway at 5 p.m. Wednesday, and the competition is set to start at 6:30 p.m.  Teams will be judged on various criteria including appearance, choreography, technique, difficulty, and showmanship.  A best of show award will be given to the middle school and high school teams that get the highest overall point total.
