Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Angelina, Nacogdoches Counties
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory overnight Thursday for several counties in Deep East Texas including Angelina and Nacogdoches Counties.
Temperatures are expected to dip close to 32 degrees overnight tonight which could lead to light icing across portions of East Texas. The combination of colder air filtering into the area plus continued chances of rain and drizzle will lead to the possibility of icing on roadways, especially on bridges and overpasses. Light icing on trees and powerlines may also be an issue.
In addition to Angelina and Nacogdoches, other counties included are Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Rusk, Cherokee, Panola, and Anderson. The Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect at midnight tonight and continue until noon on Friday.
Another round of precipitation and even colder temperatures are expect by Sunday night and Monday. A wintry mix of precipitation may cause major issues on Monday and Monday night.
