You Might Be An East Texan…
Are you familiar with Jeff Foxworthy's "You Might Be A Redneck" jokes? Most people are. Why? Because they're funny, and there's a good chance that more than one of his jokes describes you and/or your family members.
Lots of those jokes sound like they came right out of East Texas. However, we decided to take it a step farther and come up with "You Might Be An East Texan". Check out some of the results below.
- If you still refer to the tournament as the "McDonald's Big Bass Splash...you might be an East Texan.
- If someone mentions "Danny and Sean..." and you automatically know they're referring to Kicks 105...you might be an East Texan.
- If you think of Jitterbugs as a building, and not a dance...you might be an East Texan.
- If you refer to Longview or Tyler as the "big cities"...you might be an East Texan.
- If the phrase "Rudolph the red-nosed pumping unit" doesn't confuse or take you by surprise...you might be an East Texas.
- If you can use the phrase "hunker down" successfully in a sentence...you might be an East Texan.
- If "Rita" brings back memories of hurricanes, power outages, and MREs...you might be an East Texan.
- If you know where Speed O Rama was located without having to Google it...you might be an East Texan.
- If you thought at one point all 2x4 boards were supposed to be pink and have a Temple-Inland logo on them...you might be an East Texan.
