Flash Flooding, Severe Weather on Tap for Tuesday
Heavy rain and severe storms should spread throughout the East Texas area on Tuesday. In fact, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch which is in effect Tuesday from 6 AM until Midnight.
Two to four inches of rain is expected to fall on Tuesday with isolated heavier amounts. Severe storms are also forecast across the region, isolated tornadoes can not be ruled out.
As of Monday (11/16) at 8 AM, the Flash Flood Watch will include Angelina, Nacogdoches, Shelby, San Augustine, Sabine, and Cherokee counties. Trinity, Houston, Polk, Tyler, and Jasper counties are NOT included as of yet.
