AMAZING! This Texas Store Got Another Million Dollar Lotto Winner
Two months ago (June 30), the Mega Millions jackpot had reached $368 million. The drawing that evening did not produce a grand prize winner, but there were several million-dollar winners who matched five of the six numbers drawn.
One of those winners purchased their ticket at Player's Cafe, located on North Lamar in Austin, Texas. The winner, a Dallas resident, did not opt for the Megaplier which would have increased their winnings to $3 million.

On Wednesday, August 30, that same store produced another second-tier million-dollar winner. This time, it was the Powerball game with an estimated jackpot of $386 million.
The winner, who did not choose a quick pick, did opt for the Powerplay so they increased their payout to $2 million.
What's The Deal With These 'Lotto Cafes'?
More and more of these are springing up in large cities across the nation. Stop into a Player's Cafe and you can have coffee and a snack, and play a few scratch-off games while you're there. These lotto-themed locations are also the places where many 'high-end' players make huge purchases for Mega Millions and Powerball games.
The Winner's Corner in Austin is another one of these lotto-themed businesses. In 2022, they did over $105 million in lottery sales easily making them the number one lottery retailer in Texas.
Sometimes, the winners never walked inside one of these stores. They purchased their tickets online and the winning site is the address associated with that online purchase. It's definitely a little more in-depth than just walking into a convenience store and buying a few quick picks.
With those kinds of dollars being spent at these 'lotto stores', the odds are in their favor to have a big winner every once in a while. Still, major jackpot winners can still happen at the smallest of places, just like this store in California that sold a billion-dollar winning ticket.
