Strong to Severe Storms Possible This Weekend
It seems that most of the folks I've talked to are more than ready for Spring to get here. The warmer weather is welcome especially when considering the 4 ice/snow events that we had over the past 2 months.
Be careful what you wish for.
The warmer weather of March and April is usually a big breeding ground for thunderstorm activity, and sometimes they can get rather strong and even severe. That could happen this weekend.
The forecast is calling for a 60% chance of storms on Saturday and Saturday night. As of Friday morning, it looks like the stronger storms will happen in the northern half of East Texas and there's only a slight risk of some of those storms becoming severe.
We all know that the weather can change on a moment's notice, so, we'll be monitoring the situation throughout the weekend on KICKS 105.
