Suspected Killer From Tyler Captured in Louisiana, Boy Found Safe
Law enforcement officials have captured James Calvert in Louisiana, and 4-year-old Lucas Calvert was found with him, safe and sound.
An Amber Alert had been activated for the boy yesterday after his father kidnapped him from a home in Tyler.
Police also suspect the father of shooting and killing his ex-wife, Jelena Radovanovic Sriraman before abducting the child.
According to reports from KLTV, West Monroe police had a minor car chase late Wednesday night before Calvert was involved in a small crash. He had a hand gun in his lap, but offered no struggle although police did have to smash a car window to retrieve him from the car. Lucas Calvert was found safe in a car seat riding in the back of the car.
No timetable has been set, but James Calvert will be extradited back to Tyler to face murder and kidnapping charges with a bond of $2 million dollars set. The law enforcement community wishes to thank all those who helped by way of offering tips and/or prayers.
