Today, March 2nd, is the birth anniversary of Theodore Seuss Geisel, yes, of course, it's Dr. Seuss.  And to honor him and his works, the teachers and kids of Pineywoods Community Academy in Lufkin had a big celebration on Friday.

This event included the serving of green eggs and ham and the reading of some of the books and poems of Dr. Seuss.  I was invited to come be a part of the 'Who' - lebration and I certainly couldn't resist.

I was asked to read 'Fox in Socks' at a gathering of students inside the auditorium at PCA. I'm a big Dr. Seuss fan and love so many of his works, however, I must admit that I wasn't that familiar with this particular book.  As I quickly found out, this Seuss work is a tongue twister on steroids.  But, somehow, I muddled through and enjoyed myself immensely.

I also had a great time seeing the different Dr. Seuss themed costumes worn by some of the students, which you can check out in the gallery below.
